The Pineapple Fund is a philanthropic project by an anonymous individual to give away 5,057 Bitcoins to charity (valued at $86 million in December 2017).

The Pineapple Fund was announced with a post on reddit on December 14, 2017 linking to the domain pineapplefund.org.
The individual behind the fund has remained anonymous, but says they have been involved in Bitcoin since the early days.

The fund's first donation was $1 million to Watsi.
The fund made its two largest donations of $5 million each to GiveDirectly and The Open Medicine Foundation. It also promised to match an additional $4 million of donations to MAPS.
